OAP Dotun has reacted Cynthia Morgan’s disclosure of losing all she achieved while in the limelight to Jude Okoye, due to the contract she signed with his record label.
The media personality in his tweets, accused Jude Okoye of taking the dancehall singer’s name and growth.
Dotun who stated that what the music executive did moved from just business to sheer wickedness, added that a review of contract would have been better.

Jude Okoye has responded to the allegations made against him by Cynthia Morgan and May D.

In a live interview with Instagram influencer Tunde Ednut,, Jude Okoye addressed some of the allegations made against him by the dancehall singer who accused him of shipwrecking her music career.

Her Stage Name And Social Media Accounts

Cynthia Morgan who now goes by the stage name Madrina alleged that she was not allowed to use her stage name and that she no longer had access to her social media accounts following her exit from Jude Okoye’s Northside Records.

Speaking to Tunde on the issue, Okoye denied the claim.

“I never took that name from her. I don’t have that power.”

Okoye added the songstress still had access to her social media account two years after leaving the label.

Her Contract With Northside Records

Jude stated that the contract Cynthia Morgan had with him (Northside Records) expired in 2017 when responding to a question on if Cynthia Morgan was free.

Jude affirmed that Morgan indeed owed him over 40 million naira.

During the course of the interview, he said that he will make the contract available to the public.

Promotions

Cynthia claimed that Jude was not promoting her.

“Why are people not asking questions; how come this girl has been down this so long and not even one colleague came up to her rescue? Not rescue as in giving her money or sponsoring her. Rescue as in identifying with her.”

He said she burned all the bridges he built for her and stated Cynthia Morgan once questioned his value in her life.

On May D
Jude Okoye also addressed the allegations made by Akinmayokun Awodumila better known by the stage name May D. Following the allegations by Morgan, May D whose brief stint with the defunct PSqaure ended in 2012, stated that while he was with the label he was poorly treated. He claimed that he slept on a carton in the boy’s quarters which he shared with their driver.

In his reaction to the allegation, Jude said he spent over a hundred thousand dollars on May D. According to Jude, trouble began after he gave May D a contract and the singer came back after 2 weeks stating that there were no incentives in the contract.

Jude said May D had demanded a car and an apartment in Lekki despite the fact that the singer was still up-and-coming and had not done any shows.

On Psquare

Jude also chipped in on the bad blood between him and Peter. He stated that the only reason he decided to speak up on the Cynthia Morgan allegations was because Peter had involved himself.

Jude Okoye stated that the reason PSquare broke up was because Peter didn’t want his (Jude) involvement in the group. When asked if he could bring back the group together again, Jude said no and that “there is nothing humanly possible for me to do to bring Psquare back”.

A 19-year-old girl who faked her own death on Facebook to avoid financial pressure from her mother has been arrested by the Lagos State Police.

This was disclosed by the Lagos police spokesman, Bala Elkana, in a statement on Sunday, May 24.

According to the statement, 19-year-old Margaret Adiya, was arrested following a petition signed by a man, Tony Iji, on behalf of the family of Ms Adiya from Oni community in Oju Local Government Area of Benue State.

The statement said: “The petitioners stated that their attention was drawn to a post on Facebook stating that the said Margaret Adiya died few days ago and was secretly buried by her two friends Marvelous Mary and Nneka Buddy at Ajah area.

“The family further stated that they were able to establish contact with the said friends who confirmed to them that their daughter is dead. That they were instructed by Margaret not to allow members of her family know anything about her death and that they were authorised by the deceased person to secretly bury her.

“To make them believe that the girl is dead, they sent WhatsApp chats to a member of the girl’s family with picture of a casket showing that the girl is buried. The known phone number of the girl is permanently switched off. The family also got in touch with a man on phone who claimed to be her boyfriend. He corroborated the claim that she is dead.”

Mr Elkana said the girl was eventually found by the police to be alive and working as a house maid in an estate at Ajah area of the state.

“When her employer saw the report of her purported death, they quickly informed the Police and she was brought to Ajah Police Station,” the spokesman added.

“In her statement, she confessed to have created the Facebook account and posted her obituary with intent to keep her family away from her. That her mother was putting financial pressure on her, constantly demanding that she send money to her.

“The girl is apparently bitter with her mother and uncles, over their inability to sponsor her education after the death of her father. Her sojourn to Lagos is to work, save some money and return to school.

“She admitted using her employer daughter’s photograph Dr Nimechi Ugorji (without her knowledge) in the fictitious Facebook account she created, as profile picture. After posting the obituary notice on the account, her uncle downloaded the profile picture and reposted, calling on members of the public who know the person on the photograph to report to the nearest police station.”

Elkana said investigation is still ongoing in the case.

Federal University, Dutsin-ma (FUDMA), Katsina State is planning to begin admitting of candidates for medicine and other medical courses in 2021.

This was disclosed to newsmen in Dutsin-ma by the new Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Amarya’u Bichi, shortly after assuming office.

The vice chancellor also said that plans were under way to establish Faculties of Engineering, Law and Agriculture in the institution.

Prof Bichi said the Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the sum of N2 billion for the establishment of a medical school at the university.

He also said that the building of the medical school had commenced and would be completed within four months

He therefore appealed to the federal government to provide additional funds for the institution to build its teaching hospital, where the students would do practical and internships.
Bichi, who doubled as the traditional title of “Wazirin Malaman Katsina” and acted as vice chancellor between 2017 and 2019, pledged to carry everybody along in the growth and development of the university.

“I want the academic and non-academic staff members to cooperate and work together for our own interests and that of the university.

“As for me, I don’t think anybody had offended me during my tenure as acting vice chancellor twice.

“However, let me use this opportunity to appeal to those who I might have offended and not known to me to please forgive me,” he said.

Bichi thanked the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, for recommending him to President Muhammadu Buhari for appointment as the university’s vice chancellor.

“Twilight” actor Gregory Tyree Boyce and his Nigerian girlfriend Natalie Adepoju have been found dead.

Boyce, 30, best known for playing Tyler Crowley in 2008’s “Twilight” and 27-year-old Adepoju were pronounced dead in a Las Vegas residence on May 13 around 5 p.m.

In “Twilight”, Boyce’s character Tyler Crowley is a classmate of Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) who nearly hits Swan with his van, only for her to be saved by vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson).

The cause of the couple’s deaths have not been revealed. According to the E! News, it was the actor’s cousin who found the bodies of Boyce and girlfriend Adepoju. “Greg’s cousin woke up and noticed that Greg’s car was still at the house. He was worried because Greg was to be in LA. His cousin went to check on him and found them,” a source told the publication.

Boyce’s mother, Lisa Wayne paid tribute to her son in a post on social media. She said Boyce had been working to open a wing shop called West Wings, with sauces named after West Coast rappers.

“My baby boy, Greg Boyce was the best chef….oh man. He was in the process of starting a wing business, West Wings. He created the flavors to his perfection and named them after west coast rappers. Natalie Adepojou’s family launched a GoFundMe account with a $15,000 goal. The family chose not to reveal the cause of death and asked their wishes to be respected.

“However, due to the sudden passing and the need to bring Natalie home, we are asking if you can help with any monetary donation,” organizer Mariah Megginson wrote. “Natalie had so much life to live we are saddened that her life was cut short. Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Ibrahim Shuaibu, has said that there are no plans to mobilise recent graduates in the country for the compulsory scheme due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Shuaibu in an interview with Economic Confidential said only Batch A, Stream 1, who were asked to leave camp due to COVID-19 would be asked to complete orientation.

He said, “We don’t know when we are going to start mobilising our corps members. You know our training is also structured like that of the military and paramilitary. You can see that the Nigerian Navy recently suspended its training for its freshly recruited cadets.

“So, the moment the coast is clear, we are going to key into the way others will conduct their exercise, so that our corps members can be called back soonest.”

The Nigerian soldier in a viral ‘leg work’ dance video has allegedly been arrested.

The NAF soldier who was masked-up, was recorded while dancing to singer Wurld’s ‘Mad’. The video went viral with people hailing his dance moves.
A Twitter user, @GhenhisKhan is alleging that the officer has now been arrested, Wurld has also reacted, requesting for his release with a hashtag #FreeNAFOfficer.

“The song “MAD” by @thisisWurlD feat SARS, got futher free publicity because of the military guy (NAF), who was dancing to it, although the song is very “Sweet” and of international standard. We have been told the the military guy has been arrested.” the Twitter user wrote.

He continued and also tagged Nigerian Army;

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwa Savage has said that she might have to go naked in her next music video to beat her previous project.

The 40-year-old singer disclosed this while speaking to BBC on what to expect from her forthcoming album entitled 'Celia'.
She said, “I might just have to go butt naked in my next video because I don’t know what else I’m going to have to do to top that one!.”

“And, just to put it out there, this was done in Nigeria. All the cast is Nigerian, the director, the AP, everybody is Nigerian.

“I love the fact that I could present this to the label and say this was done in Africa by Africans, this is what we can do. Imagine when you invest in us even more, you would get amazing work.”

Speaking about the forthcoming project, Tiwa said the album encapsulates a whole mix of the emotions an African woman goes through.

“We’re going through this pandemic, so the idea was I want to let them know that I’m still a boss, that I’m still beautiful, that I’m still African.

“People have been really really creative with it which is amazing. The album is a whole mix of the emotions an African woman goes through: love, aspiration, being bossy, being sexy, being vulnerable.

It's been called the world's most dangerous bird. Its long dagger-like middle toes, in fact, were responsible for the death of a man in Florida last year.

But what excites scientists about the cassowary — a large, emu-like, flightless bird — is its distinctive look. With its black iridescent feathered body, its blue, turquoise and magenta neck and horned crest or casque, it's been described as looking like a "high-fashion dinosaur."

"It's a little over a meter tall. It's pretty heavy. Their bones are dense. They definitely can cause some damage," said Chad Eliason, a staff scientist and postdoctoral fellow at the Field Museum in Chicago and an author of a new paper on the giant bird that published Wednesday in the journal Science Advances.

The southern cassowary can inflict serious injury with its dagger-like claw on the middle toe.

"There's lots of stories about dangerous kicks with their claws. They help you to realize birds are related to dinosaurs."

Each of its three-toed feet has a claw that can be up to 4 inches or 10 centimeters long, allowing it to slice open a predator with a single kick, according to the San Diego Zoo. It can also run up to 31 miles per hour through dense forest and jump up to 7 feet (2 meters).





High Gloss
New research on the feathers taken from a dead bird has now revealed what gives cassowary feathers their glossy black shine.

"Understanding basic attributes like how colors are generated is something we often take for granted in living animals," said paleontologist Julia Clarke, a professor at the Jackson School of Geosciences at the University of Texas at Austin and the paper's senior author.

"Surely, we think, we must know everything there is to know? But here, we started with simple curiosity. What makes cassowaries so shiny?"

Unlike in other shiny birds, such as hummingbirds or crows, the cassowary's glossiness is produced by the rachis, or the spine of the feather, rather than the barbules, or minute filaments fringing a feather.

Since the fluffy barbules on cassowary feathers are pretty sparse, the rachis gets more exposure to light than in "thick-feathered" birds, giving it a chance to literally shine.

"The gloss is in a totally different part (compared to other birds). You picture a feather being like a tree, the gloss is in the trunk of the tree, not the branches," Eliason explained.

The three species of cassowary are native to parts of northern Queensland, Australia and New Guinea. They live on fruit.

The study suggested that the cassowary's unique gloss-producing mechanism would have evolved gradually over time, with an ancestral bird losing its barbules and the cassowary developing a thicker central feather shaft.

Eliason suspected that flightlessness might have given cassowaries more evolutionary room to develop their odd-shaped feathers.

"Needing to be able to fly is a very strong stabilizing force on wing shape," Eliason said.

"Losing that constraint, that need to fly, might result in new feather morphologies that produce gloss in a way that a flying bird might not."

I have been dating a girl for about 18 months now. Very pretty but my brothers, let me tell you... Look before you leap when it comes to pretty girls.

From the minute I met this girl it has been one money request after another. If it was small sums I guess I wouldn't really mind, as I have always worked for blue chip companies and can afford it. She hounded me everyday that I must get her an apartment of her own, so she can escape her home, and I agreed to but by saving monthly.

Would you believe, one night, when she was working at a bar as an usher for guinness, she gave her number to 2 different men just because of this apartment. My spirit kept telling me that she gave her number out, but she kept lying...only for me to catch her texting one of the men when we were at church of all places.......

She even went as far as going to meet this rich man at a hotel, but the man ran away when she made that request, and I as a fool decided to finally do it for her. (I suspect she cheated on me that night and I always tell it to her face because she has cheated on me twice before)

I live on the Island and tried to get her to rent here as well, as I really want to keep an eye on her..... She has too many guys around her who live in that area and she is this kind of person who cheats out of revenge, even over small things.....this girl refused and threatened to break things off!....bro, as a mumu I sent the money to her to rent the place and for other things, about 400K.....

Ever since that money left my account, it's like my eyes cleared!!! I couldn't believe that instead of saving my hard earned money, I went and sent it to a girl that has cheated on me twice (or even more), lied to me, slapped me and done so many things.....but I just decided to leave everything for God, seeing as she was desperate.

Here is a video of COVID19 patients in Gombe state protesting the lack of proper care at their Isolation center earlier today May 5. The protesting patients forced their way out of their Isolation center and barricaded the federal highway linking Gombe to Borno state.
