The victim has been identified as favour, a student of the St. Theresa's Convent High School in Monrovia.
The little girl was found hanged with a rope attached to a board cover often used as storage for dishes.
According to community residents, her parents were not home when she arrived from school.
The cause of death is yet to be established. However, Liberians have taken to Facebook to call for an investigation. One Wen Sailey circled a spot on the girl's head which seem to indicate that that her head is bleeding.
